EFE / MADRID Las compañías de telefonía móvil deben empezar desde hoy a tramitar el cambio de operador conservando el número en un día laborable, tres menos que en la actualidad, con lo que los operadores no tendrán tiempo para efectuar contraofertas que les animen a cancelar su propuesta, como sucedía hasta ahora.
No obstante, el usuario podrá decidir el plazo en el que quiere hacer efectivo el cambio y evitar así quedarse sin servicio cuando realice la portabilidad a través de la web o una llamada telefónica, que exige recibir la tarjeta SIM del nuevo operador en el domicilio del usuario.
El cambio de operador se realiza a través de un nodo central común de todos los operadores durante la madrugada, que es cuando hay menor tráfico telefónico, por lo que el cambio real será el tercer día de la solicitud.
Así un usuario que realice el cambio de operador por ejemplo un lunes tendrá de plazo hasta las 14.00 horas del día siguiente para cancelar la portabilidad, y esta se realizará entre las 02.00 y 06.00 horas del día siguiente.
Así a partir de las 06.00 del tercer día tendrá que estar operativo el servicio con el nuevo operador. El usuario será el único que puede solicitar la cancelación de la portabilidad a través del operador con el que ha solicitado el cambio.
Así, la Comisión del Mercado de las Telecomunicaciones (CMT) espera evitar cancelaciones no pedidas realmente por el cliente. España es el primer país que adopta este cambio decidido por la UE.
Recientemente la CMT aprobó también el cambio de operador en un día para la telefonía fija, normativa que entrará en vigor el uno de julio de 2013.
